If I have the main Apple Mail window in the background while running another program and then click on that window to bring it to the foreground, it seems to also have difficulty with focus. I've also had another strange issue recently regarding focus when clicking (maybe it's related, maybe it's not?). It's as though mouse clicks to the widget are disabled. The "Find my friends" widget "works" in that it shows the rough addresses of where my friends are, but still doesn't allow me to click on any of them to expand their entry to include a map (other than the one friend of mine whose entry is already expanded). It seemed like a great idea, but unfortunately after applying the combo update, it still hasn't changed its old behaviour.
Find my friends on macbook how to#
This has gone on throughout multiple restarts, and I've also booted into restore mode to scan the disk for errors in the off chance that something was corrupted hoping it might help - it didn't.ĭoes anyone have any ideas of what might have gone wrong, or how to restore the functionality it's supposed to have? I tried removing an adding a friend on my iPhone to see if that would cause it to somehow "reset" itself - the friend was removed and added in the MacOS widget as it should have been, but nothing changed with regards to its interactivity. Neither does clicking on on anyone's name, photo, double clicking, right clicking, or anything result in any response at all. It shows an up to date map for the location of the last friend I clicked on when it was still working properly, but if I click on any of my other friends, it doesn't reveal a map for their location. It still shows a list of my friends and seems up to date with their positions, but doesn't react to any mouse clicks.

But then about a week ago, the best I can describe is it lost its interactivity. Hopefully someone out there has an idea of how to fix what's suddenly gone wrong on me.įor a long time, the "Find my Friends" widget in the MacOS Notification Centre has worked perfectly.
